Alabama Connecting Classrooms, Educators, and Students Statewide (ACCESS)
ACCESS is an education initiative of the Alabama State Department of Education (ALSDE) that was established in 2006.
ACCESS Virtual Learning is a supplemental program designed to expand the local course offerings for schools in Alabama at no cost to the school or student. ACCESS currently offers over 80 courses in grades 7-12 taught by Alabama-certified teachers. All the courses needed to obtain an Alabama high school diploma are available. Course offerings include 11 Advanced Placement, multiple levels of five different foreign languages, as well as 54 NCAA-compliant courses approved for eligibility purposes.
ACCESS provides equity in our schools by assisting with teacher shortages, scheduling conflicts, offering additional course options, credit recovery, and meeting the state-mandated online requirement.
The state is divided into three support centers that serve the schools of our state.

- Troy University (South)
