Expanding Online Learning Opportunities for Rural Students is a Priority for the Members of the VLLA
The organizational members of the Virtual Learning Leadership Alliance work with rural schools and students in numerous states across the U.S. While there are significant geographic and population differences between the states covered, a common theme among the VLLA members is the importance of their online programs’ ability to serve rural students with quality courses and instruction. Members actively seek occasions to build awareness of the prospects online learning has to address many challenges faced by rural districts.
Below are recorded clips from a recent VLLA presentation entitled, Equitable Access in Rural Communities: Proven Strategies to Explore. The recordings address challenges faced by many rural schools with ideas and strategies to explore. This presentation was part of the National Rural Education Association (NREA) conference.
